About
I built my career on the belief that effective communication improves lives — and I've spent 32 years proving it across public health, disaster preparedness, environmental sustainability, economic development, and government. Today, I channel that experience into my own advisory practice — and into the causes closest to me.
My roots are in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where I first learned that the most powerful communication starts with community and connection. I studied journalism at New Mexico State University, then earned my Master of Arts in International Communication from American University as a Woodrow Wilson Fellow. From there, I spent three decades in Washington, DC, advising clients and leading teams at agencies including Ogilvy, Edelman, and ICF.
I serve on the executive board of Earth Force, which connects young people to environmental action, and on New Mexico State University's College of Arts and Sciences Advisory Board, a nod to where it all started for me.
My husband David and I divide our time between our homes in Washington, DC, and Las Cruces, NM.
